From Van Driver to 3PL Leader: Sunny Shergill's Journey

From Van Driver to 3PL Leader: Sunny Shergill's Journey

From One Van to a Vision

I’m Sunny Shergill, Partner and Logistics Manager at 33 Fulfilment—a 3PL business built on grit, hustle, and the will to solve real-world logistics problems.

My journey didn’t begin with a polished business plan or a big investment. It started with a van, long hours, and the drive to outwork every obstacle. As a van driver, I learned the pulse of logistics—routes, customer expectations, and the operational grind. I soon bought my own van, went self-employed, and reinvested every penny to grow. One van became three, and a transport operation turned into something bigger.

From Transport to Fulfilment

My journey didn’t start with a business plan or investor pitch. It started with a single van, late nights, and a commitment to outwork every challenge. Driving routes myself gave me a front-row seat to the real heartbeat of logistics—tight deadlines, client expectations, and on-the-ground problem-solving. I went self-employed, reinvested every penny, and built a fleet one van at a time.‍

Building the Right Team

The biggest turning point in my journey? Meeting people who saw the same vision.

Together, we formed the leadership team at 33 Fulfilment—each of us bringing something different: operations, tech, finance, strategy, and sales. That blend of skills has been the backbone of our growth.

Now, 33 Fulfilment offers full-service logistics across the UK—from warehousing and inventory management to pick-and-pack, shipping, and B2B distribution. Whether we’re helping a fast-scaling e-commerce brand or managing retail logistics, we adapt, move fast, and deliver every time.

The Work That Still Drives Me

What makes us different? We’ve done the groundwork—literally. I’ve chased drivers, built racking, fixed systems at 2am, and worn every operational hat. That experience drives how we lead today.

As Logistics Manager, I’m still deep in the day-to-day. I oversee operations, manage our fleet and warehousing, and work directly with clients to streamline their supply chains.

Growth is great—but staying close to the work keeps us sharp.

Values That Matter

We built this business on work ethic, integrity, and ambition. No shortcuts. No inflated promises. Just consistent, honest delivery.

We’ve created a culture that’s grounded, team-driven, and relentlessly forward-facing. We support each other, celebrate the wins, learn from the tough days—and never stop moving.

If you’re willing to show up, learn fast, and push harder—there’s a place for you here.

Looking Ahead

33 Fulfilment is just getting started.

We’re investing in tech, expanding our warehousing footprint, and continuously improving how we serve our clients. The logistics world is fast-paced—but we’re built to move faster.

Personally, I’m focused on growing talent, mentoring the next generation, and building infrastructure that helps businesses scale with confidence.

"We’ve been in the trenches. That’s why we understand what our clients really need—and we deliver with care, speed, and experience."Sunny Shergill

about 3PL

What is a Fashion 3PL, and how can it help my brand?

A Fashion 3PL, also called Fashion third party logistics, is a specialist fulfilment partner that stores your inventory, picks/packs orders and ships them to your customers on your behalf. For fashion brands, a good partner will also handle size or colour variations, fragile packaging, high return rates and peak season volumes, so you can scale without building your own warehouse team.

What does 3PL ecommerce fulfilment include for clothing and fashion?

3PL ecommerce fulfilment typically includes goods in and stock checks, warehousing, pick/pack, shipping and returns processing, plus ongoing inventory reporting so you can reorder confidently. For Clothing third party logistics, it can also include extra services like polybagging, kitting, relabelling and branded packaging to protect presentation and reduce returns.

Do you support 3PL apparel fulfilment for fast-growing apparel brands?

Yes, 3PL apparel fulfilment is designed for brands that need speed, accuracy and flexibility as order volume increases. The right setup supports rapid SKU growth, multiple sales channels and reliable dispatch performance without you having to manage staffing, storage or carrier contracts on a day to day basis.

How do I choose between apparel fulfilment companies for my fashion brand?

When comparing apparel fulfilment companies, look for a. proven fashion handling (garments, accessories, returns), b. transparent pricing, c. clear SLAs for dispatch and accuracy and d. the ability to scale during launches and peak periods. If you’re evaluating fashion third party logistics, ask what cut-off times are, how they handle returns/refunds workflow and even how they prevent picking errors such as size or colour mix-ups.
